Our San Francisco hospital is outfitted with the latest technologies that include CT and MRI Scanners as well as our C-arm Machine. We strive to provide our doctors the support they need on every level. Whether it’s peer support, ongoing training, or the latest equipment, our veterinarians have what they need to be the best at what they do.
GE LIGHTSPEED SCANNER
The GE LightSpeed 16 Slice CT Scanner is the 4th evolution in the LightSpeed series and considered the most popular and widely used. Chosen for its user-friendly, dependable design, It can provide both 3-D and 4-D imaging display simultaneously, ensuring clear, accurate results.
MRI System
Our premium 1.5T MRI system leverages intelligent technology for an intuitive user-experience and enhanced efficiency. The SIGNA scanner is designed to enable patient-friendly exams while delivering exceptional image quality for maximizing diagnostic efficacy.
C-Arm Machine
The GE OEC 9800 Plus C-Arm System represents the latest in x-ray solutions for a variety of applications including pain management, orthopedic, vascular, neurovascular and cardiac surgeries.

SAGE is synonymous with collaborative care across all specialties, including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, Critical Care, Surgery and Anesthesiology. Collaborative care is what drives our success, enabling us to offer the highest standard of veterinary medicine and improve outcomes for our pet patients.
Associates at SAGE have experience in working on some of the most complex and challenging cases imaginable, from polytrauma cases to brain surgery. Because of this, each of our doctors offers a unique knowledge-base and rich pool of experiences that can be drawn from at any time in a very seamless, impromptu manner. Our doctors learn from each other, often asking for case advice on a daily basis.
Having immediate access to this type of cross-functional consultation is critical to working efficiently and means our doctors can pick up cases from one another with complete confidence. In fact, other general practitioner doctors will refer patients to us knowing that we have a range of specialists working together in a mutually supportive, collegial environment.

JESSICA LORENZETTI, RVT
Dr. Kathy Andres graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with honors and completed a small animal internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After several years of family and emergency practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Andres fulfilled her dream of becoming a veterinary oncologist through her residency in oncology at BAVS and achieving board certification in 2011. She has received numerous awards during her academic and clinical training acknowledging her gentle approach to pets and their families and her special interest in the field of oncology.
Dr. Kate Woodruff is a Bay Area native and will be joining the Sage family in September 2022. Clinical Interests: Heart Failure Management, Interventional Cardiology, Congenital Heart Disease, Emergency Management of Cardiac Disease. Dr. Woodruff attended veterinary school at the Ohio State University and graduated in 2011. She then completed a one-year rotating internship at Tufts University, a one-year emergency and critical care internship at North Carolina State University, and a three-year cardiology residency at North Carolina State University. Dr. Woodruff is a Bay Area native and lives in San Francisco with her husband and two small children. She enjoys all things outdoors, including long distance hiking, back-country skiing, surfing and trail running. She also enjoys travel and live music.
